TLI Multimedia: Customers
TLI Multimedia’s primary customers are the faculty and instructors of Carolina. We work with subject matter experts (SMEs) to design multimedia that positively engages learners with essential course content. We do not offer multimedia products as instructor replacements, nor is our purpose to create slides. Our products are custom designed to best align with specific instructional goals, available funding, and target student groups.
To get the most out of multimedia, it should be used for what it does best:
- Visually demonstrate or explain abstract concepts
- Engage learners with:
- Problem-solving scenarios
- Simulations
- (Safe) risks and consequences
- Opportunities to practice new skills and check their knowledge
- Track students’ progress
Note that while our team understands the value of faculty time, SMEs are involved in each stage of the development process. The quality of faculty input and interactions directly relates to the quality of the final product.
